Someone tried to fight me at L.A. Con

Let’s get right into it, shall we?
I’m excited for my next published work hitting comic book shops on December 20th, which is a short I collaborated with Salomee Luce-Antionette on PROJECT CRYPTID #4. The inspiration came from Puppet History’s episode on The Beast of Gevaudan.
Historically, December is a slow month for your local comic book shop. Publishers tend to skip the end of the year altogether leaving retailers in the lurch when it comes to new comics days for the month. Do your uncle Hank a favor and swing by your LCS and buy a new comic or two. Yeah? Good.
Here’s a preview of our story with incredible art by Sally!
Iván Fernández, aka afroxander, was kind enough to shed a spotlight on me and my friends at the crowded L.A. Comic Con for L.A. Taco. I’m glad this came out when it did because I have been feeling a little down on everything as of late.
Here’s an excerpt from my conversation with Ivan that I think captures what I’m trying to do with my time on this earth:
“I think it's important to have something to say with the medium. I think that it's nice to do the Batmans and the Turtles, but this is a medium that has been with me my entire life, that has been something that I can really rely on, that now pays my bills and feeds me. I try to give back to comics as much as I can, and, with that comes with the stuff that I have to say. What I have to say centers around racism and other social class warfare, the inadequate conditions that Native Americans have lived in and suffered through in this country. The indigenous point of view is very important to me. At the same time, propping up my friends and trying to work with people (who) are non-binary, (and) people of color. There's so many different things that I try to do with this and in so many different ways that there's just not enough time in the day or in my life to do what I envision with comics.”
