I'm working on leaving Substack for Wordpress. You can do it for free or cheap. There's a free plug-in called The Newsletter Plugin that makes it pretty easy. Outside of WP, Beehiiv is free for up to 2500 subscribers and it's designed for ease-of-use, no website necessary.
